With Niconé everything looks effortless, and hardly anyone manages to let something complex sound as easy and lively as him. By now it would be an understatement to say he’s played a few gigs, or that he’s had a few hits. Among them the club hymn ‘Caje’ from the killer album ‘Romantic Thrills’, which he produced together with Sascha Braemer. With him and Philip Bader Niconé runs the label DANTZE, which, true to his motto, propagates a wholly different approach to house than any old label.

One day he’ll probably be awarded with the honorary citizenship of Dresden. Since his first booking in 1994, he’s been tirelessly aiming to push the scene of his hometown on to the world stage of electronic music with passion and ability. He’s getting closer to this goal by running his own club ‘Showboxx’ as well as the ‘Click Clack’ open-airs he founded in the summer of 2009.
