For SUN DOWN CIRCLE #016 we are very excited to announce we have the legend DJ Harvey gracing our shores. From sunset late into the night with a 5 hour long set – a journey into the mind of the master DJ.
THE BAYOU BLUE FAMILY
The event will also be supporting the BAYOU BLUE Family. A foundation set up to help children with critical illnesses and their parents. There will be a Bayou Blue art installation, music and merchandise available on the day with all funds going into the foundation.
From Punk to Funk and back again DJ Harvey is synonymous with left of centre audio excursions though the House, Techno and Disco genres… His eclectic blend, sometimes deep and sleazy and othertimes peak time energy are always dripping in sexual tension…
Having played to a full venue back in 2013, the half surfer, half out and out rock and roller is back for another session on the grass in Potato Head Beach Club…
The man’s history borders on legendary, one of the first residents of the Ministry of Sound in London and DJing alongside the Paradise Garage DJ, Larry Levan his self inflicted hiatus in Hawaii for many years left a void that was just waiting to be filled by the man himself, a self perpetuating prophecy of cosmic intention is now fulfilled…
Born and bred in LA, Eric Duncan moved to New York in the 90’s to team up with former Sun Down Circle guest Thomas Bullock as one half of the legendary Rub’n’Tug outfit. Famous for rocking clubs and loft parties with their eclectic sets that always had Disco at their core.
Eric has worked in several guises and partnerships in recent years be it as one half of the aforementioned Rub’n’Tug, Still Going for DFA, The Rythmn Odysssey and Dr. Dunks or most recently working on an analogue project with Justin Vandervolgen as Happy Family.
Whether performing alongside one of his partners in crime or on his own, as he will be at SDC #16, Eric is synonymous with throwing down epic sets across the globe and we expect nothing less from his performance on March 24th
Mo Morris has been a prominent figure in the underground music world for many years. Whether as a member of bands such as Mountain of One or Zsou, as a DJ, a producer or a promoter, Mo has seen and done a lot in his time, calling London, Berlin and most recently Indonesia his home, he is also responsible for setting up the Bayou Blue Foundation and is a welcome addition to the line-up.
Support on the night will come from Sun Down Circle Residents Phil Cooper and Aradea Barandana.
