For SUN DOWN CIRCLE #017 Potato Head is pleased to announce that we have linked up with one of the most globally respected names in the modern Disco era, hot on the heels of the DJ Harvey gig over Easter… HORSE MEAT DISCO.
Originally the name given to the legendary night started in London at the iconic venue The Eagle back in 2003, the 4 resident DJ’s, James Hillard, Jim Stanton, Severino and Luke Howard came together to share their love of everything Disco with the clubbing community in London and beyond. It didn’t take long before the Horse Meat Disco parties and the resident DJ’s in particular started to really turn heads and set tongues wagging, which soon led to them being booked to play parties all over the world from Glastonbury to Berlin, New York to Croatia and now, thankfully… Bali.

Synonymous with incredible atmospheres expertly crafted through a broad selection of music from classic disco to more cosmic sounds, such as Italo, house, punk-funk and plenty more besides their parties are up there with the best of them and we can’t wait for them to bring their disco infused magic on to the lawn at the Beach Club.
As well as becoming one of the cornerstones of the global disco scene as performers the guys have also become synonymous for their celebrated mix compilations the last of which they released in 2014 although thankfully we are led to believe that Volume 5 is not far off.
A major reason behind the success of Horse Meat Disco is in no doubt down to the fact, as James Hillard put it ‘All club music leads back to disco – pretty much all Western dance music all goes back to the discos of the ’70s, and disco traces its roots back through most the music that we’re playing.’
