We’re excited to join forces once again with VICE Indonesia for a full weekend of music, art, film and youth-led culture in the tropical setting of Potato Head Beach Club this April.
The music line-up will delve into the original disco and dance music aficionados hailing from the UK and Europe, headlined by the legendary DJ Harvey. Known for his trademark ‘mind bending’ extended DJ sets, Harvey is without doubt one of the hottest DJs on the planet.
Alongside Harvey will feature Velvet Season & The Hearts Of Gold (Gerry Rooney and Joel Martin) who have been making some serious wonky dance-floor cuts over the past few years. Gerry Rooney also founded the legendary Black Cock records alongside DJ Harvey which paved the way for the modern disco edit as we know it.
Thomas Bullock will headline the Sunday, bringing his ‘music and mezcal,’ an all-day exploration of mezcal through workshops, tastings and film, rounded off with one of his legendary DJ sets to end the weekend in style.
The talented Pete Herbert is also billed, the man behind the killer ‘Reverso 68’ and countless aliases. Swedish selector Måns Ericson, founder of Rollerboys and Junior Executive, will be on hand to further shake things up.
Jakarta’s Pleasure crew will be bringing the heat fresh from their collaboration with Comme des Garçons’ Dover street Market, alongside local heroes Tantrà to show us how they do it here in Bali.
Sunday will feature cultural film screenings by VICE, including ‘Blood, Guts and Bad Acting: Inside Indonesian B Movies of the 1980s,’ ‘The Cult of Debt Forgiveness,’ and ‘Boogie Horse’.
On display throughout the weekend will be workshops and art installations by ISLAND OF THE GODS and more local artists to be announced.
