Legendary New Yorker Danny Tenaglia and English producer Skream are headed to the Beach Club for a debut show. The party will be hot, heady and going strong till late. But stop by early for sundown sounds from Archie and Seabass as they warm up the decks for this incredible night of grooves.
Danny Tenaglia grew up in the ’70s, listening to classic American soul and disco by musicians like The Trammps and Marvin Gaye. As a teenager, nights dancing to Larry Levan’s rich, genre-less sets at the city’s famed Paradise Garage inspired him to move into music.
Danny’s professional breakthrough came in the late ’80s and early ’90s with residencies at NYC institutions like Twilo and Vinyl, a string of high-profile remixes, and the release of his debut album “Hard & Soul” in 1995. His remix of Depeche Mode’s “I Feel Loved” won him a Grammy nomination and his Be Yourself club nights went on to take Dancestar’s Best Party award in 2003 and 2004.
Skream (a.k.a Oliver Dene Jones), a British DJ and producer, is known as one-third of the electronic music project, Magnetic Man, alongside his fellow dubstep pioneers Artwork and Benga.
As a solo artist, he’s released two albums, “Skream!” (2006) and “Outside the Box” (2010), with “Angry” and “Colourful.” Recent collaborators include Kelis, Miles Kane and Chromeo, while his current sets venture into the genres of house, techno and disco.
