Kris Kross Amsterdam, a true hardworker Dutch trio have expanded very quickly with the collab with Cheat Codes “SEX” and now receives support from the top individuals such as Diplo, Don Diablo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, VINAI, Nicky Romero and many more. They’ve just released their new track “Are You Sure” from Spinnin’ Records and let us share the exclusive interview with them.
We heard your new track “Are You Sure?” is stored on 23rd of December. Can you tell us more about your new track?
Well first of all we want to say we are very thankful and proud for this collaboration, the vocalist on this song is Conor Maynard and it features Ty Dolla $ign. It was an amazing journey and finally led to “Are You Sure?”. We think it is the best follow up after our latest single “Sex”. I think we have made something that we feel completely in touch with, not something we predicted that would be a success, but just something we love.
How did you decide to work with Conor Maynard and how was it?
We of course know Conor via Youtube where we first heard his voice. When we were searching for the right vocalist it had to be somebody who could really carry the song and be in touch with the emotion. Conor is an amazing talent and it always is so inspiring to work with someone who is truly gifted.
How was this year? What was the best experience of 2016?
This year was amazing. We toured through out the whole of Europe, played at amazing festivals and clubs like Tomorrowland and Amnesia Ibiza, but our highlight this year was the success of our single “Sex”.
How do you get the inspiration from when producing music?
From each other. We are always trying to inspire one another. The three of us have a very different skill set and we are always sharing inspirational moments with each other. An old rediscovered song, a trip, a conversation.
Who or what is the most musically influenced to you? If so, why is that?
For the music we produce, it’s absolutely Michael Jackson. He is a legend and there can be so much learned from just listening to his songs.
For live performance, I (Yuki) am the live-part of the act. I learn from everything, sometimes I’m caught up in watching death metal performances for hours to see how to turn up a crowd.

Our dream is to work with guys like Diplo and Skrillex. They are really taking everything to the next level and setting great examples for guys like us.
What’s the biggest mistake you’ve made in your life and how did you overcome it?
Well it’s hard to say. I think the biggest mistakes are always mistakes made in your personal life. In our profession you can make a lot of mistakes, you are surrounded by party people, booze, drugs, and temptations. The biggest mistake is to surrender to the temptations. Then you will never make it. So the best answer to this is to never make the biggest mistake in your life, because it can destroy everything.
Which famous person would you most like to see play you in a film?
Johnny Depp for sure! Amazing actor who can easily play the three us!
What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
Taking a 15 minute massage on the airport 16 minutes before departure to LA.
What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
We received our first platinum award for our single ‘Sex’ in our home country The Netherlands. It’s still unbelievable.
