No rest for the wicked though and Koh has a GIGANTIC August lined up for you featuring a host of Internationals guests alongside our core Koh residents.
KOH FRIDAY
Our night dedicated to deep, chuggy, four to the floor House Music is geared up for monster month. First up, August 7th we have Dutch native ANDY CHUNES set to unleash his arsenal of quality House Music on the gorgous Koh funktion One Sound System.
August 14th we’re delighted to announce an encore set from the one and only MISTER BENNETTS. Fresh from annihilating the proverbial shit out of the Koh floor a couple of weeks ago, it was a no brainer to get him back for more.
August 21st marks the first of “ALL NIGHT LONG” series. The Koh camp have meticulously searched for and handpicked a veteran DJ to take you on a musical marathon for the whole night from start to finish. All night long baby! We want to give them opportunity to dig deep into their crates & take us on a ride that showcases their unique and undeniable skills as a selector. Industry journeyman and International globetrotter,DAMIAN SAINT has been given the honor of being the first in this series. The man has spent the last 20 years DJing all over the world in every facet of Djing and we personally are inspired by his impeccable music taste, this is one that shouldn’t be missed
The month culminates with arguably the biggest International to grace the ones and twos at Koh so far. August 28th, One of the First Ladies of Deep House, Miss KATE SIMKO (All day I dream, UK) will take stage in front of the infamous koh industrial fans to deliver her unmistakable trademark deep house grooves.
Doing the hard yards in the trenches are the life and blood of the club, our residents Beau Sebastian, Dan Baartz and James Taylor who will be on the support slots throughout the month.
KOH SATURDAY
Koh Saturday has five events in August with one goal, To deliver nothing but top shelf, deep, driving underground House and Techno. We’re quietly very confident to make good on this as our selection of the best possible artists locked in for August has us salivating in anticipation.
And so it begins on Aug 1st with MSG (AUS), the head honcho of the infamous Subsonic Music Festival on headline duties.
August 8th doubles the trouble with two guests on show at Koh. Uk House head turned Aussie BEN ASHTON is responsible for the hugely successful Bad Apple Parties happening in Sydney & Australian Techno Goddess Trinity (Aus) will be left in charge of the sounds for the evening.
August 15th we put Brazillian born FERNANDA DI BOTELHO in the headline hot seat. After listening to her recent mix, it was immediately apparent that Fernanda fits right in with Koh’s musical ethos and will have no trouble stepping up and owning it!”
The month ends with consecutive resident showcase weeks. Our bread and butter, the core of the Koh sound is on show here with James Taylor taking the headline spot on August 22nd and our own Japanese groove machine ZUYACK (Aug 29th) in the spotlight to round out the month.
