Australian overnight superstar Flume has kept relatively quiet in terms of new music, with the exceptions of his remix of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” and the single “Gemini” as a part of What So Not . Well, today we get the first new original from him since his Drop The Game EP with Chet Faker.

This new single “Some Minds” features vocals from Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, creating the perfect collaboration of sounds. Flume provides an incredible yet relatively tame signature sounding song until just after the 3 minute mark when he proceeds to drop an unexpected bass heavy section that produces the perfect edge to the song you had no idea was missing till you heard it.

The video was done in partnership with Sydney Opera House, where they were granted exclusive permission to shoot this visually stunning piece. We see Flume as the star, along with some amazing choreographed dancers. All this is released in cohesion of his sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House on May 29th and 30th.
