Fairmont is an electronic music producer, live performer and DJ from Canada, who has put out 3 albums, the last of which came on this label in 2012. This latest release opens with the compelling ‘Carthage’ a track built around lush layers of supple and reflective synths. Big bass broods below and the effect is trance inducing and serene. Next up, ‘Loose Teeth’ is another elongated track that progressively builds and builds in exquisite fashion with Sasha-esque synths bubbling away. It’s widescreen, intergalactic and full of class. Last of all, this transcendental synth trip concludes with the gorgeous ‘With Closed Eyes.’ Spine tingling and sure to take any DJ set to the next level. DRW 6*
