After a brief hiatus Prospa are back with another twisted dancefloor weapon on Suah. Prospa recently moved their sound into darker territory and Suah couldn’t be happier to be the first label to showcase their new style. The production quality of the duo is on a completely new level, b2 tracks meticulously crafted and the attention to detail is unparalleled. The title track ‘Machines’ deploys a heavy pulsing bassline beneath robotic vocals and effects. Prospa’s percussion sends the track into groove overdrive and extra synth-work on the second drop kicks everything up a few notches. On the flipside ‘Codex’ is on slightly more progressive tip – icy synths and moaning vocals give the breakdowns a euphoric atmosphere before the whole thing drops into resonant bass, rising stabs and beautifully curated drums. Lets Rave! DRW 10/10.
