This Sunday night, Norwegian production dynamo Kygo will debut his new live show at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival. Tasked with closing the Live Stage for the weekend – right after Porter Robinson – he’s sure to draw a devoted crowd looking to bliss out to his summer-ready setlist. (With Skrillex throwing down on the main stage at the same time, it’s sure to be a contrast in vibe.)
Ahead of the Ultra weekend, Kygo brought an intimate invite-only acoustic performance at the Soho Beach House last night. As the sun went down over Miami Beach, a string of guest performers stepped up to deliver stripped-back renditions from Kygo’s catalog, including Parson James, who performed a tingly piano-driven rendition of “Stole the Show.” Check out the photos we captured below. At Ultra, we’re expecting the producer will work in both his original productions and live versions of some of his standout remixes. “Firestone” and “Stole the Show” are both sure-bets, while his remix work for Ed Sheeran, Syn Cole and Coldplay is likely to make its Bayfront Park debut as well.
