Culturally rich in history and music the German City of Frankfurt which has given birth to numerous world class producers and DJ’s housing many iconic clubs is set to open a museum dedicated to electronic music. The “Museum of Modern Electronic Music” will be centrally located,” says a spokesman for the city, and is said to be a globally unique cultural and musical project with high standards, which deals with the culture, electronic music and electronic aspects of life with workshops to be held with well known DJ’s in the scene.
One of the pioneers of the German techno and trance scene Talla 2XLC will be patron of the project.
MOMEM will be located inside Frankfurt’s Children’s Museum and has a launch date planned for 2017. While it’s still in its planning phases, patrons are encouraged to pledge their support through the MOMEM Supporter Club, which promises perks such as free annual visits to the museum and its related activities.
